No. Diploma students are not eligible for AFCAT exam. If candidates do Btech after diploma then they are eligible only for ground duty branch not eligible for flying and technical branch.

AFCAT refers to Air force Common Admission Test and for joining any of Indian Air force branch through AFCAT, a candidate is required to have completed Bachelor degree in concerned discipline from a recognised university.

So, on the basis of Diploma in Civil Engineering degree course,you are not eligible for joining Indian Air Force through AFCAT as Diploma in Civil Engineering course is not equivalent to any bachelor degree course.

The eligibility criteria for apply AFCAT are given bellow.

1) A graduate degree in any steam.

2) Age - 20 to 24 years (at the time of commencement of course).Upper age limit for Candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) is relaxed up to 26 years(at the time of commencement of course).

3) Gender - Men and Women.

So, you are not eligible for AFCAT as you have completed only Diploma which is equivalent to 12th.
You need to complete graduation degree before apply for AFCAT.
