Can I apply for AFCAT after passing BSc 3rd year
i m in bsc 3rd yr and my average of two yrs is 59.66 in bsc.Can i apply for AFCAT?

Yes but not presently. You have to wait for 1 more year and can apply after completion of B.Sc. Plus A minimum of 60% aggregate is compulsory for appearing, so make sure this year you must score minimum 65% so that your aggregate will be 60 safely. Age criteria: 19 to 23 yrs. All the best. |

AFCAT is conducted for candidates to join in Indian Air Force.This exam is conducted for following 3 branches in IAF which are listed below 1.Flying Branch 2.Technical Branch 3.Ground Duty Branch Eligibility criteria according to branches are: Ground Duty Branch: AGE : between 20 to 27. Qualification The applicant must have the PG or Bachelor degree in any subject with at least 60% aggregate marks. Flying Branch: AGE : between 19 to 23 Qualification: The applicant must have the B.E / B.Tech degree or a Graduate in any discipline with minimum 60% aggregate marks. Technical Branch: AGE : between 18 to 28 Education qualification: >> Aeronautical Engineering with minimum 60% marks. thank you................... |

The acronym for AFCAT is Air Force Common Admission Test. Yes, You are eligible for AFCAT examination for Ground Duty Branch. AFCAT examination is conducted for these three wings:- * Flying Branch. * Ground Duty Branch. * Technical Branch. The eligibility criteria required for the ICICI PO examination are prescribed as below:- * Completion of B.E./B.Tech for Flying Branch from any accredited college or university. * Completion of graduation/post-graduation in any track for Ground Duty Branch from any approved college or university. * Completion of B.E./B.Tech in Aeronautical engineering for Technical Branch from any recognized college or university. * Age limit:- 19-23 yrs - Flying Branch. 19-27 yrs - Ground Duty Branch. 18-28 yrs - Technical Branch. * Nationality:- Indian. Age should be between 19-23 Years and aspiring candidates has to be Graduates (Three Year Course) in any discipline and have Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level OR BE / B Tech (Four Year Course) and should scored Minimum 60% in all papers put together. For technical entry, both Male/Female candidates should be between 18-28 Years and have acquired four year degree qualification from a recognized University.
Generally, one can be a part of any of the three branches of the Airforce after completing your graduation, Flying Branch, Technical Branch and Ground Duties Branch. Air Force Common Admission Test or AFCAT is by far the biggest exam conducted for entry into the IAF. Candidates after appearing for the written test has to undergo (AFSB)SSB . The written test is same for all the candidates irrespective of the Branch Applied i.e. Flying, Technical or Ground Duties. |
