Re: Can I apply for Bank PO exam after passing PG distance with 56%?
Yes. You are eligible to appear for Bank PO Exams after completion of Post Graduation. But check yourselves whether you will fall under required age criteria to be eligible for these exams.
Here is the required age criteria that candidates should possess to be eligible for Bank PO Exams. -One should be in the age group of 21-30 years to be eligible for Bank PO Exams. -Relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category. -For the candidates of SC/ST category, relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 5 years. Even though you have completed your Post Graduation course, you should have to appear for Bank PO Exams on the basis of Graduation as the highest level of academic qualification. Candidates who are pursuing final year Graduation course also can also take up Bank PO Exams (of course, this is not related to you). The selection procedure for these positions is by -Written test -Interview The written exam consists of questions from the following categories -Reasoning -Quantitative Aptitude -General Awareness -General English -Computer Knowledge In addition, one should have to qualify in the descriptive test also. Only candidates who have qualified in the written exam will be invited for the Interview in the ratio of 1:3. From the last academic year, IBPS started conducting common written exam for the recruitment of PO positions to 19 public sector banks. If you are interested, you can appear for this exam also. If you are a candidate from OC category, better to score 80% in the written exam to get a call for the Interview. Dear , Firstly as you have not mentioned any of you details other than PG percentage so would like to know you about the other criteria. You must know that there is a centralized bank exam being conducted for 15 public sector banks for these specialist officers as Bank PO. Lets see about the Eligibility Criteria for Bank PO 1. General & OBC Candidates Must have 60% aggregate marks in XIIth standard or in Diploma after Xth standard and 55% aggregate marks in Graduation. 2.
