IPS stands for Indian Police service.

IPS exam is conducted by UPSC.There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IPS exam.This exam is conduct through Civil Service Exam.

Graduation Degree in any stream from a recognized university are applicable for IPS Exam, the final year students also eligible for applying preliminary examination .

If you have citizenship of India then you are applicable for IPS Exam .

The Candidate age should be in between 21 years to 30 years . Age Relaxation for OBC candidate is 3 years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years.

The maximum attempts for SC/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.

Physical criteria for IPS exam is given below-



You can apply for this exam through online or offline by UPSC exam .The Cost of Examination Application form Rs.100/- for General and OBC candidates and Free for SC/ST candidates .

The Abbreviation IPS Stands for Indian Police services.

The IPSC Exam is conducted every year by the Union Public Service Commission.

There is no any specific IPS Exam conducted as the Union Public Service Commission conducts a common examination for the selection of successful candidates in the following :

* Indian Police Services

* Indian Administrative Services

* Indian Economic Services

This Common Exam is known as the Civil Services Exam.

4.relaxation provided to obc of 3 yr and sc/st of 5 yr
5.attempts allowed for general is 4, obc 7 and sc/st unlimited but limited to age bar

as per educational requirements you are eligible for the exam

apart from educational requirements there are some physical requirements for ips exam

1. height for male 165 cm for all and 162.5 for st candidate
female height - 155 cm, relaxation for st girls

2.chest 82 cm, expansion 5 cm allowed
female - 79 cm , 5cm expansion allowed

weight should be proportionate to height as per medical standards

if you fulfill all these you are very much eligible
