Student after successful completion of 4 years at LPU, will have two choices:-

(a) To move out with B.Tech(Hons.) Degree.
(b) To continue for the next 1 year to do M.Tech Degree, subject to eligibility for continuation.


Eligibility Criteria

(Qualifying Exam)
(for Indian applicants)

Pass with 80% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics and English/Computer Science)*.

OR

Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics and English/
*For B.Tech (Biotech)
Subjects considered:
Physics, Chemistry and English/Computer Science; other things remaining same as above.

Merit in the qualifying examination subject to eligibility criteria

It is not possible to join M.Tech after completing B.Sc (hons) in mathematics. Minimum eligibility to join M.Tech is pass in M.Sc or B.Tech. Admission to this course is usually made on the basis of marks obtained in GATE. GATE qualified candidates are allotted with colleges through a centralized counseling process. Candidates with a minimum of 60% marks can seek admission in IIT's.
