Yes, you can apply for this examination.
NET stands for National Eligibility test SET stands for State eligibility test Eligibility:- Eligibility criteria:- 1. Candidate must be having a post graduation in the subject from recognized university. 2. The minimum percentage required is 55% in post graduation. As you satisfy these conditions you can appear for this exam. Thank You... |

Re: Can I apply for NET SET exam after doing M.Com with higher second class
That would not be an issue. You can appear for the National Eligibility Test as long as you are meeting all the criteria. If you have completed the post graduation and there are no pending backlogs then you are definitely eligible for the National Eligibility Test.
You can apply for college lectureship and PhD through National Eligibility Test. The test is conducted by the University Grants Commission. State Eligibility Test also requires same eligiblity criteria as the National Eligibility Test despite the fact that each state conducts it separately. The NET entrance exam is conducted twice in a year. On the other hand SET depends from state to state. For example Maharashtra conducts it twice but state like Gujarat only conducts it once. Eligibility 1. Only Indian citizens can appear for NET. 2. Must have post graduation degree. 3. You should complete post graduation from UGC recognized college. 4. Minimum percentage requirement is 55 percent. 5. The requirement is 50 percent for SC/ST. 6. Final year students of post graduation can also apply. 7. But to avoid disqualification they are required to submit degree in 2 years. 8. Your NET subject should be relevant to post graduation. 9. There is no restriction on attempts. Age Limit 1. Maximum age limit is 28 years for JRF. 2. For OBC there is 3 years relaxation. 3. Five years relaxation for SC/ST. 4. There is no upper age limit if applying for lectureship. |
