National Eligibility Test is conducted for the candidates who are interested in college lectureship as well the Junior Research Fellowship. Now in order to apply for the National Eligibility Test candidate should have post graduation degree.

The National Eligibility Test is conducted by the University Grants Commission. Each candidate has to select a subject related to PG course for the national eligibility test. The Botany is not one of the subject in the list.

You cannot apply for the UGC NET exams in the paper Environmental science as your post graduation is not in that subject.

YOU can apply for the CSIR-NET exams.
This exam is conducted two times each year

Eligibilty to apply is M.SC with minimum 55% marks for General and OBC candidates.
Minimum 50% marks for the SC/ST candidates

You can appear in the CSIR-NET exams in the subject Life Sciences.
