Can I apply for UGC NET in the subject of environmental science after completing MSc with Botany
I had already completed my M.Sc.,with Botany. Can i applied for UGC NET in the subject of Environmental Science.

National Eligibility Test is conducted for the candidates who are interested in college lectureship as well the Junior Research Fellowship. Now in order to apply for the National Eligibility Test candidate should have post graduation degree.
The National Eligibility Test is conducted by the University Grants Commission. Each candidate has to select a subject related to PG course for the national eligibility test. The Botany is not one of the subject in the list. In such case you are absoultely right as the candidate will have to select Environmental Science as the subject for the NET exam. Before you apply, please check out the criteria mentioned below to see whether you are eligible for not for the National Eligibility Test. Eligibility Criteria 1. You have to complete PG course is any stream. 2. Must be able to obtain 55 percent or more marks. 3. There is 5% relaxation for SC/ST candidate. 4. During final year also you are eligible to apply. 5. Final year candidates must submit their PG degree in 2 years. 6. Your NET subject will be Environmental Science. 7. There is no limit on number of attempts. Age Limit 1. JRF candidate should not be older than 28 years. 2. There is no upper limit for lectureship. |

Yes you can definitely apply for the NET [National Eligibility Test] in the subject of Environmental Science if you have completed M.Sc with Botany. The National Eligibility Test is conducted for those candidates who are interested in the following posts : a) Junior Research Fellowship b) Lectureship But before application , you need to check that whether you fulfill all the required eligibility criteria for NET or not. Below mentioned are the complete eligibility criteria for NET : * You must have completed post graduation in any subject with a minimum of 55% marks from any UGC recognized university. * The age limit is only applicable for the post of JRF and is in between 21-28 years. * There is no age limit if you are applying for the post of Lectureship. * Only candidates belonging to India can appear in the National Eligibility Test. The abbreviation of UGC is University Grants Commission. The abbreviation of NET is National Eligibility Test. Exactly, you can apply for UGC NET exam. The educational qualifications regarding with NET exam are below mentioned:- * Opponents must be finished their master degree with 55% marks in any curriculum from any approved institution. * The relaxation of marks is assumed for SC/ST opponents is 5%. * The age of opponents for JRF must be lie in between 20-28 years. * There is no age limit for Lectureship. * Opponents must be an Indian. 1.Any candidate having PG degree can apply for UGC NET. 2.UGC conduct this test twice in a year. 3.Candidates to obtain 55% marks to apply for NET,relaxations are there. 4.Those who intend to join in Govt colleges for the post of lecturer for them UGC NET is appropriate. 5.There is no age bar to appear NET. |
