The Union Public Service Commission conducts examination for various departments but as far as the percentage of marks in the qualifying exam is concerned, there is no such criteria.

Since you have completed Bachelor of Engineering, you may write the following examinations, irrespective of your marks in graduation:

• Engineering Service Exam
• Civil Service Exam
• Central Police Force Exam
• Combined Defense Service Exam

Since you have done Bachelor of Engineering, you should consider Engineering Service Exam. To be eligible for it, you must be within the age limit of 21-30 years. Th examination is conducted only in the four disciplines of Engineering and they are:

• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Civil Engineering
• Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering

Firstly, there is No Minimum percentage is Required to apply for UPSC Examination because Minimum percentage eligibility criteria is not mentioned in the official website or in the Notification.

If you have completed your Graduate degree course from a recognised university then you are eligible for UPSC Examination.

Currently UPSC Published the Civil services examination Notification and the last date of apply for this examination 05/March/2012

Eligible candidates may fill the application form Online Only and the online Registration was already Started.

If you are Interested in Civil services examination, then please fill the application form online soon before the last date.

To apply for this examination you have to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline from a recognised University and your age should between 21 to 30 Years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates.

So, please apply for civil services examination soon before the last date.

~~ You can also eligible to apply for IES Examination after completing you BE Degree course, If you are also interested in IES Examination, then please wait for the Notification.

The Notification of IES Examination will be Published soon on 25/Feb/2012

Yes, you can apply UPSC exam after 2nd class in BE.
There is no problems.

Criteria to apply:-

*Candidate pass graduation in any stream
*Age- 21 to 30 years
3 years relaxation for OBC candidates
5 Years relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

Yes you can apply for UPSC, because eligibility criteria is just graduation from indian university recognised by UGC. It does'nt matter private or regular or any subjects or any stream.

UPSC Requirements:
The following are requirements are necessary
1.The candidate must be citizen of Indian
2.The candidate must completed 12/graduation.
3.The candidate must secured 55% marks.
4.The candidate completed graduation from discipline university.
5.The age of the candidate is 18-28 years
After above qualifications the candidates must need to write an examinations of NDA(National defence academy) for 12th students,CDS exam (common defence service) for Graduation candidates and these two exams are conducted by UPSC twice in a year.

Yes, you can apply for IES conducted by UPSC after scoring second class in B.E. as there is no percentage of marks criteria for IES exam only a pass in Graduation Degree exam is sufficient for appearing for IES UPSC exam.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final B.Tech. exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years whch is relaxed up to 5 years for SC/St candidate and up to 3 years for OBC candidate.

The selection is through written exam followed by personal interview. The written exam based on the subjects from Civil/Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics and Telecommunication branch.

After B.E. you can also appear for Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC to become an IPS/IAS/IRS etc. officer or else you may appear for CDS(Combined Defence Service) exam conducted by UPSC to join Defence servics.
