dear friend i am not understanding why you change your specialization?
& if you determine to change your stream then i will let you inform that there is no any information of your BE(CSE) is required to get admission in BE(Marine engg.).
you have to take admission as per your 12th basis as previous you already took admission in BE(CSE).
& some renowned institute for Marine engg. & corresponding exams are:
T.S.Chanakya( IIT-JEE)
Coachin university(CUSAT)
ITME (WB-JEE)

yes u can try for marine engineering.
there are many iit in which marine engg branch is there...but you have to qualify gate exam for that...
another way is that you do the diploma in that branch....

The eligibility for admission to marine engineering is 12th standard with physics, mathematics and chemistry. as you have already done B.Sc in computer science, you would have done all these and hence you are eligible for marine engineering course.

yes you can do marine engineering after BE but you have to sit in an entrance exam conducted

Firstly i want to tell you that you need not to do marine engineering if you are a BE cse. By this degree you can directly initiate your career in marine engineer as a part of merchant ship or sailor ship.
They directly recruit you for a certain period of time like 2 yrs including training time whose cost is paid by yourself . But during training you will get stipend per month. Thats why this training is sometimes called payback training. Total cost of whole would lie between 2 to 4 lacks initially but it pays back you around 1.5 to 2 lack per month.

There use to be vacancies for mechanical engineering in the designing/planning manufacturing and maintenance sections of ships. So, there is nothing extra you need to do. You can apply directly as a mechanical engineer to various shipping companies.

Alternately You can appear GATE next year. You can do M.tech in ocean engg. after B.tech in mechanical and get the job in this sector.
Apart from that one of the best way is to qualify IES conducted by UPSC.
There you can opt for Indian Naval Armament Service (mechanical engineering posts).

since you are admitted to mechanical engg.,it is possible for you to join marine in your m.tech.

Yes of course you can do marine engineering after doing BE(CSE)..

But for that you will have to start the course right from the beginning..

At this stage when you have such a good qualification with computer science then i don't get it why you want to do marine engg!!!

Well for doing that you have to crack the entrance tests....And get admitted to the B.E course of marine engg..

I can not understand why do you want to change your department,as you have completed the BE in CS,stay in your path ,
dont try to deflected,there are huge scope of computer Engineering.
But if you are determined to change the department ,you can change it by WBJEE or AIEEE.

Not be able to marine engineer...........but you can do pre sea training courses .......after finishing this course there is complete jobs in ship as a deck.............

i think candidate in BE CSE are not eligible for Marine engineering.


you should not change your career from CSE to marine engineering. if you think that you are not good in computer programing and you don't want to work in computer science field then you may go for MBA.

in MBA you don't need so much computer science knowledge till you computer engineering technical knowledge will be very much helpful for MBA job. i think it's a better option for you.


otherwise you may go for master degree in computer science and for job.

Hello Friend,

You have completed your BE in CSE and there is a lot of scope after that.
You try to either go for a job in private or govt. sector which will give you industry experience.
You can also go for your M.Tech in CSE by sitting for GATE exam.
Still, you can try to pursue MBA by sitting for various MBA Entrance Exams like CAT, MAT, XAT, etc.
I'm not sure if you can do marine engineering after BE in CSE or not but even it is possible then your 4 years of BE will be a waste.
So don't let that happen.
