i am persuing b.com.and i want to know that can i do mca after b.com..i did not have maths in 12th class..
so is it possible for me to do mca after my graduation...
please give me good advice as soon as possible for u..

as far as i know without mathematics it is impossible to get admission in MCA.

I don't think that you can pursue MCA after B.Com as you did not have Maths in 10(+2).

Maths is very necessary to study MCA and from the starting level that is from your secondary level you should have knowledge of maths.

May be there are some open universities which can admit you to their special MCA program,but in the first year you will have to study maths for sure.

Rather i will suggest you to pursue MBA after B.Com as this would be better option for you.

The rest depends on your wish.

According to me it is not possible to do MCA without mathematics as it is an important subject considered in BAC & MCA as well . you should choose another stream .

MCA can be done only if u r having maths in ur 10+2 or u've done BCA after 10+2.
U've done neither of them so sorry to say but u r not eligible.

As far I know .... maths is required fir the MCA .... Some university are taking a test where u have to give the test after passing that test u can join the MCA .. This is according to new bill passed in eduction learning .... from the department of eduction.

I am sorry to say my dear friend. MCA needs mathematics and without maths, MCA is not possible.

But the mathematics included in MCA is easy and basics type. I hope you will cope up surely. The maths here is not as difficult as Engineering mathematics.

perusing mca after b.com without maths is not possible....you will have statistics and don't worry it will be easy...wont be so tuff like what is there in engineering or any other courses...i know you will be able to do well...just need so hardwork and dedication...

As per my knowledge on should have maths at 10th & 10+2 level in order to get admission in MCA.So i m sorry to say that you can't get admission in MCA.But dont get disheartened you can try for other courses like M.Com, mass communication, hotel management.
If you are too much interested in entering IT field then you do courses in oracle,java,etc languages separetely from institutes who offer such courses along with vlid certificate.

Mathematics is one the eligibility condition for MCA ... so u cannt go for MCA.

as you don't have mathematics in class 12 so i don't think you will be able to take admission in MCA.

but i will suggest you to contact with the institution where you want to take admission. as you have commerce subject and it is related to mathematics so there may be chance that they will give you opportunity to take admission in MCA. so try for that.

For MCA minimum educational qualification is graduation in any subject from a recognised college / university.

For MCA 10Th & 12th Subjects are not required, only passed students are required.

Yes of course you can do MCA without Maths because there are some universities in India which provide MCA without maths (for example- Manipal university).

So, you can contact with universities to do MCA without maths.

No it is not possible as it requires either maths, physics, chemistry, computer science or maths, accounts in your 12th standard to get admission for MCA course. See there are many other courses where computer application is available so you can try even the other courses.

Ofcourse there is a solution for you. You can't do MCA after B. Com but in regular mode but you can do it from distance mode.
In distance mode you can do MCA from IGNOU and and there is no need maths of as you must have maths in 10+2 because there will be maths as a part of your syllabus but you have to work hard because syllabus of MCA in IGNOU is too hard but dont worry you have time for that.Better to learn languages as C, Java and data bases as sql and oracle now. So do it fast now if you want to do MCA and want to achieve better marks in your MCA degree.And don't worry about the value of this university. IGNOU comes on the top in the list of distance mode and its really valuabe if you do MCA from IGNOU. To know more please log on to

According to my opinion you can do M.Com after B.Com because M.Com is a advanced & upgrade qualification of B.Com.

And MCA is totally related to different field. MCA related to Computer field.

So think yourself what you want to do M.Com or MCA after B.Com. You are eligible for both courses.

To do MCA you have to have Mathematics in 12th.

Otherwise it is not possible.

So go for M.com......it is best for you.

No, you cannot do MCA because you did not have Maths in 11th and 12th.

For doing BCA and MCA, you must have Mathematics as one of the subjects in 11th and 12th.

MCA is a master's degree course which can be done only after graduation. After B. Com., a person can do MCA only if he has studied maths in 10+2.

So try something else.
