i am finished B.E mechanical engineering with 2 arriers can i attend this S.I Selection?

SI ( Sub Inspector ) Eligibility :

Candidates must be citizen of Indian

Candidates should have Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University

Candidates age limit between 20 to 27 years

Physical Stands :

Height :

Male : 165 cm

Female : 150 cm

Chest :

Men : 76 cm expands 5 cm

Female : no such requirement

Physical Requirements :

5 km running : 25 min

3.80m distance long jump

100m sprint : 15 sec

800m running : 170 sec

1.2m distance high jump

5.60m distance shot put distance

The qualification needed and the other criterion to be satisfied for sub-inspector post are-

Citizenship-

You should have Indian citizenship.

Age Limit-

You age should be between 20 to 25 years.

Age Relaxation available for reserved categories-

3 years for OBC reserved category candidates.

5 years for SC/ST reserved category candidates.

5 years for candidates who have achieved distinction in sports.

Education Qualification-

You should have a bachelors degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
There is no percentage cut-off as such.

Physical Standards-

minimum height needed-170cms

required chest size is 81cms before expansion and minimum 85cms after full expansion.

Selection procedure :

Through a series of physical ability tests followed by a written test.

Physical tests include :

A initial 5 kilometer run which should be completed in 25 minutes (* impossible without practice)

A 100 meter sprint which should be completed in 15 seconds. (* easy)

A long jump in which a candidate should jump a distance of 3.80 meters (* easy)

A shot put throw which should be thrown a distance of 5.60 meters (* practice makes it easy)

A high jump in which a jump of 1.2 meters is required (* practice) and

An 800 meter run which should be completed in 170seconds (* easy).

General Intelligence and Reasoning : 50 questions-50 marks

General Awareness :50 questions-50 marks

Quantitative Aptitude : 50 questions-50 marks

English Comprehension :50 questions-50 marks

SI Syllabus 2013 for Paper 2:

English language & Comprehension for 200 marks



Exam pattern:

For SI Job graduation is must completed from recognised university it does not matter either its open university. But the university must be recognised by government.
Without 10+2 no one can not eligible for attending even entrance test.
If you are not completed 10+2 then according to the government who has passed 10th and crossed the age of 17 years then he can directly attend the exam 12th. So better you contact any government colleges which offers exam every year then complete the formalities and attend the exam.
