Can I get an admission in 2nd year of IIT after diploma in mechanical engg?

Diploma candidates are not eligible for admission in Indian Institute of Technology. Diploma holders can apply for JEE Main examination or LEET examination for direct admission in second year of engineering. JEE Main examination is conducted by Central Board of Secondary examination.

If you score well in JEE Main examination, you can get admission in government engineering colleges like NITs, IIITs and other government engineering colleges. LEET stands for Lateral Entry Entrance Examination. It is conducted by various state technical university for admission of diploma candidates in second year of engineering. For LEET examination, candidate must have at least 60% marks in diploma.

I am finished DIPLOMA IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING in 90% marks. If any possible to get the 2nd year enters exam. And how to apply for this please help me.
