MCA stands for Master of Computer Application. MCA course offered by IGNOU comes under School of Computer and Information Sciences (SOCIS).

MCA is a post graduate course in Computer Application.It is a three year duration course.The minimum time duration to complete this course is 3 years and maximum is 5 years .

Course Fee for the students who have studied Mathematics as a subject is Rs. 9,000 per semester and for non-maths students, an additional fee of Rs. 1,200 has to be paid for BCS-012 course.Total course fee is Rs. 54,000 .

The eligibility required to get admission for MCA course are as under:-

-The candidate should have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university .

-The candidate must have studied Mathematics as a subject in class 10+2 or Graduation level,otherwise the candidate has to opt and pass the BCS-012 course concurrently with IGNOU MCA.

-There is no age bar to apply for this course.

-The course is available in English medium only .
