Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is one of the most famous and renounced open University of India. It is known to provide quality distant education with proper knowledge and excellent system. There are many subjects in which IGNOU offers courses and MCA is one of them.

The duration of the MCA course from IGNOU is minimum 3 years and maximum 6 years. IGBNOU conducts an examination for every candidate and qualifying that examination is quite necessary in order to get promoted to the next level. The course of MCA ids divided in to 6 semesters. All together in MCA examinations from IGNOU, one has to clear 7 papers in 1st semesters, 5 papers in 2nd semester, 5 paper s in 3rd semester, 3 papers and a project in 4th semester, 6 paper in 5th semester, and a project for the students of last semester.

Almost every theory paper in every semester is of 100 marks. The questions are set in basically same pattern for all the semesters. The paper is mainly divided into two sections. One is compulsory, which is generally of 40 marks with one question divided in 4 parts of 10 marks each. The second section contains many questions with two sub parts of 10 marks each. Only 3 are to be done.
