can I get admission in NIT allahabad, my expected aieee rank is b/n 4000-5000, I want electrical or mechanical

Dear Friend

If you are a GEN category candidate, then it is very close to impossible to get a seat
in Electrical Engineering at this rank however if you are a GEN category candidate from
U.P. then there are chances to get Mechanical Engineering at thin AIR.

Those who come in some privilege category like OBC/SC/ST/PH etc, may get such seats
very easily.
There is a provision that 50% of total seats are reserved for state quota so if you
are in the same state i.e. U.P. then things will be in your favor otherwise it would be
tough.

Once the AIEEE result is published you can see the rank-wise seat allotment details
on CCB website. It will help you choosing the best among the available options.

see, ur score is a good one, i feel. To say in allahabad [nit] u can get chemical with that rank and it even depends to which state u belong to. If you are of uttar pradesh state then u could get a seat in electronics and communication engg. in the final round

you ask about NIIT ..
that depent in your marks and your category also ..

If you have any OBC/SC/ST quota so i say that its a chance to get admission in that ..

but if you dont have any caste quota so its tripical to say that you get admission ..

but wait for the counselling ..

if you are general category student then it is very difficult to get a seat in the mechanical branch or the electrical branch in the nit Allahabad
but if you belong to some category then you can easily get one the seats in the nit Allahabad
according to me you should look for some another nit with 4000-5000 rank instead of the NIT Allahabad

Admission in NIT Allahabad

If your rank in the AIEEE exam comes between 4000-5000 and if you
want to get admission in the NIT, Allahabad then you can take admission
in this college easily at this rank.

If you belong to SC/ST/OBC category then you can get admission in the
NIT, Allahabad college very easily. In the state NIT college the 50% of
total seat is reserved for the state quota and if you belong to the same
state then it will be very easily to get admission in NIT, Allahabad.

dear this since the maximum marks have decreased and also the no. of students appeared has increased comparatively so it would be a bit harder to tell whether you will fetch a NIT or not.....
it would probabily more clear after the results.....
but according to result of previous year it would be difficult to get admission with this rank...

it,s very difficult to predict. till i think you may not get chance to take admission in NIT Allahabad in the mechanical branch or the electrical branch. but i think you will get chance in other NIT in other course or in NIT Allahabad but in other stream. just go to the counseling there you will know where you are getting chance to take admission.

If You are not GEN so you can get but if are Gen you will not get.I think so.

my aieee 2011 all india rnk is 39000, state rank 2400....which good collleges including nits nd iiits can i get?...

It is difficult to expect your chances to get a seat in NIT by securing a rank between .However if you are SC/ST/OBC student,then you can get this seat easily through reservation quota.As te competition is so tough you may not get the seat if you are a general category student.For any more information about AIEEE exam and counseling please see the official website of AIEEE.
