i am a girl.
i am in 12th class.
i have taken pcm, but not computer science?
can i be able to give the entrence exam of national defence academy?
please tell me quickly.

Girl candidates are not eligible to apply for NDA examination.

You can join defence services after doing engineering.

All the three wings of defence (i.e. Army, Navy and Air Force) recruit engineering
graduates through separate recruitment process.
Girl candidates are eligible for entry in defence services as a engineer.

Engineering graduates of Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science etc.,
engineering disciplines, are having highest opportunities in defence services.

If you do not pursue engineering then you can join Indian Army (OTA) through
combined defence services examination.
The qualification required for combined defence services examination is
Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university.

hello dear,
*** your question is itself is you answer.******
means to say, NDA TEST is only for boys after +2. girls are not eligible for NDA TEST.
but you can join the defence forces after doing your graduation in engineering, in physics and maths.
after graduation , there is a great opportunity for the girls in the defence.

eligibility criteria:

the candidate education qualification should be complete the 12th standard from a recognized university.

The candidate age limit should be between 16.5 to 19 years.

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible for this exam.

Girls are not eligible for this exam.

The candidate should be citizen of india.

The candidate must have physically and medically fit for this exam.

I am sorry to say that girls cannot give the NDA exam conducted by union public service commission (UPSC) , but girls have a great opportunity in army as technical graduate.

Now the most basic question will be how to join army?

The answer is:

UPSC has two schemes:
1) Technical graduate scheme
2) NCC direct entry scheme

They have been further classified below:

After your graduation in respective field as electronics engineering field, electrical engineering field, mechanical field, civil field, architecture, communication, telecommunication etc you are eligible for direct entry scheme for joining army.

NCC direct entry scheme:-

If you are having NCC 'C' certificate in respective 'army','air force',and'navy' you will be eligible for joining army.

After you been eligible for direct entry scheme, you need to fill forms for respective entry and then you will face SSB (service selection board) in which you will face interview, various officers will scan you to the most in the interview, task and other tests like psychology test etc.

If your are selected here you will undergo a MEDICAL test and then you have to wait for you merit list to come...

If you are in the list you can serve for the army..!!!

Yes definitely you can apply for NDA after passing 12th with physics, chemistry & mathematics.

NDA stands for National Defense Academy. The examination is conducted by UPSC twice in a year. Through this examination admission is taken into major 3 branches of defense:

1)Indian Army,
2)Indian Air Force,
3)Indian Navy.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

1)AGE:The age of the candidates should be between 16.5 and 19 years.

2)EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:The candidates must have passed 10+2 exam(For Navy/Air Force: 10+2 with PCM). The candidates applying for 10+2 exam are also eligible.

3)NATIONALITY:The candidates should be Indian.

4)GENDER & MARTIAL STATUS: Only Unmarried Male candidates are allowed.

Girls can join Defense through CDS after competing graduation.
