Yes, diploma holders are eligible to join 2nd year of engineering degree. Admissions are often done through lateral entry entrance exams. Certain institute admits candidates on merit basis. Thapar University, Calicut University, etc offer lateral entry admissions. Such details can be collected from the official portal of the concerned University.
