Is it possible to join B.Tech while having backlogs in Diploma? Also will the degree be valid? Also won’t there be any problem in future? And, will I get direct 2nd year admission even though I have backlogs?

No, you are not eligible to get admission in 2nd year of the B.Tech course after diploma course.

The eligibility to get admission through lateral entry is that candidate must have passed diploma from a recognised institute.

So, you will become eligible to get admission after clearing all the backlogs.

You are not eligible to get admission in B.Tech course through the lateral entry with backlogs in diploma course.

You will have to clear all your backlogs to get admission in 2nd year of B.Tech course.

Entrance examination is conducted by various institutions for the lateral entry.
