hi am engg.student in computer science dept. i want to become a fighter pilot. So tell me can i work in IAF as a fighter pilot and also tell me about book

dear friend to become a pilot is not easy and that to a fighter pilot is more difficult.you should undergo pilot training in foreign countries like russia,usa,germany etc..no matter what degree you have pursued earlier.the pilot training programme is a course of two years in whiich you will be fully trained in most of the big and fighter aircrafts. pilot training in russia is more cheaper than others which would be around 12 lakh in indian currency..not only IAF but even the aviation industries select the pilots according to thier training flying hours...
so you should take a proper training in flying....good luck.

The only educational criterion is a graduate degree from a recognized university.

Yes,you can join as a fighter pilot in IAF provided you have to qualify the PABT and you should meet the physical standards.

If you want to be a fighter pilot then you can join as short service commissioned officer if you have a percentage of 60% and above and then clearing then clearing the SSB interview. Keep track of the advertisement published in the employment news.
Or else, you can join IAF as an engineer after clearing Engineering Knowledge Test(EKT) and the SSB interview.

Yes you can join IAF as a Fighter Pilot after Engineering in Computer Science because this exam conducted by UPSC and minimum eligibility for UPSC exam is passed graduation with 60 % marks from a regonised university.

Final year students can also apply.

Definetly you are eligible to join Indian Air Force by appearing in CDS (Combine Defence Service) examination.

Minimum educational qualification for this examination is to be Graduate with any stream.

CDS examination is conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commition) twice in a year.

Advertisment is published in Emplyoment Newspaper.

As i know you can apply for the post of a Fighter Pilot after any graduation degree so you are eligible.

Guys, I Think we Have to Pass CDS or SSC exam and after clearing SSB intervievew, we can join NDA After that we have to give PABT For Pilot apitude. After passing PABT with 70%. We can Join for Indian airforce & start career as a n IAF fighter pilot or cargo Pilot.
I don't know much about it but If I am wrong , Plz correct me.

I have attended the PABT test and been selected by the SSB for the NDA. But I was rejected of my eye power in the medical board, IAM. After doing my LASIK can I become a fighter aircraft pilot?

Yes any grad can join IAF provided you clear SSB ( PABT is for pilots only )...if you get recommended by SSB you have to pass medical examination (duration 4-7 days)..after this merit list is published , if your name is there, u undergo training in AIR Force academy near Hyderabad, based on selection criteria you ll be given either fighter, chopper, transport cadre.

Computer Science engineering.
But you must make sure that at
the time of joing your age must
be below 23 years if you have no
CPL from DGCA. if you have CPL
from DGCA then age is 25 year.
There are two entries for IAF : -
One is through AFCAT exam twice
a year and secoend is CDS exam
by upse twice a year/
