Well getting into Indian Army involves various procedure with different selection criteria. So If you had a hernia operation in last 12 to 14 months and if you are fine now without any problem, then you can definitely apply for Indian Army otherwise you have to wait for some more time.

Hello,

For Joining Army, you have to go for a series of test,and also you have to go through multiple stage assessment.Medical test is the last round in any SSB interview.

>>You should be medically fit in all respect, and also you must not have any permanent or temporary illness.

>>disability rate is 30%.

>>over-weight, under-weight, knock-knee are some of the problems.

>>Chronic indigestion and ulceration are not acceptable, you should have the operation before two-three years before joining, then it will not have problem.

>>A candidate with a well healed scar of hernia is considered fit after six months of operation provided that it will not again come again.
