Indian Military can be joined through CDS(Combined Defence Service) entrance exam conducted by UPSC after Graduation for an entry in to Indian Military Academy, naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Academy.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian National, having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 25 years with good Physical and Mental health.

As you are 25 years old, you are not eligible to apply for Indian Military Academy of CDS as one should be within 19 to 24 years to apply for the same but you may be eligible for Indian Officer's Training Academy if you will be within 25 years.

I am sorry to say that you are not eligible for the Indian Military Academy. Because your age is more than 24 years.

To join the Indian Military Academy you can crack the CDS exam.

CDS stands for Combined Defence Service.

This exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission two times in a year.

Indian Military Academy

Indian Naval

Indian Air force

Eligibility Criteria:

Nationality:

The candidate material status is Indian.

Educational Qualification:

You must have pass the Bachelor Degree from recognized University.

Percentage not required for this exam.

PCM subjects are compulsory for Indian Naval and Air force.

Age limit:

Indian Military Academy:

19 to 24 years.

Indian Naval:

19 to 22 years.

Indian Air force:

19 to 23 years.

Gender:

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible for the Indian Military Academy.

Girls are not eligible for this exam.

For getting jobs in Indian Military you will have to meet these Eligibility conditions :-

Nationality :- Indian .
Martial status :- Unmarried.
Gender :- Male.

~Your Honors paper in Graduation should be from Physics/Mathematics.

Age Limit :-
~Your minimum age should be 19 years and age should not be above 25 years.

Physical Standards :-

Height and Weight -

• Your minimum Height should be 157.5 cms.
• Your weight should not be above 47 kg.

Visual standards -

• Vision with better eye should be 6/6 and with worse eye 6/18.
• You should not suffer from the prob;em of Color Blindness/Night Blindness.

Physical Fitness Exam Pattern :-

• Running of 2.4 kms in 15 minutes.
• Push Ups - 13 times.
• Sit Ups - 25 times.
• Chin Ups - 6 times.
• Rope Climbing - 4 metres.

Written Exam Syllabus :-

1. Logical Reasoning.
2. Numerical ability.
3. General Awareness.
4. English Grammar.

Thus your age is now 25 year,it will be your last chance to get jobs in Indian Military.Thus you should work hard to get success in Written Exam.

Those who are Graduate and want to join Indian Army can apply for CDS examination conducted by UPSC.

For Indian Army Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University is the required qualification.

Age Limit for CDS examination:

The age limit for different academies varies which is given below.

Indian Air Force Academy - 19 to 22 years

Indian Naval Academy - 19 to 23 years

Indian Military Academy - 19 to 24 years

Officers' Training Academy - 19 to 25 years

The selection into the academy will be based on the merit list prepared by conducting an examination which will have following stages:

-Objective Type Paper

-SSB Interview

-Medical Examination

You must be physically and mentally fit if you want to join Indian Army. If you are found unfit by the medical board then you will not be considered for the Indian Army.

Applicant’s Nationality – Applicant should be verified and known Indian.

Age Limitation – Applicants are eligible for Indian Army if having Age between 19 minimum and 25 maximum years. And there is relaxation against SC/ST by Indian Govt

Educational Qualification – Applicants must complete Graduation with 50% from recognized university of India and must have ‘B’ in ‘C’ certificate examination in NCC.

Physical Standard – Applicants must have enough physic and body for qualify the Physical standard as given –

a)Weight and Height – Applicant are applying for Indian army should have minimum 157.5 cm equivalent to weight. And for woman standard height is 142 cm and weight 42 kg.

b)Visual Standards – Applicants should have corrected vision 6/6 and 6/9 in worse eye. Applicant should have a healthy retina and with maximum residual refraction of: ± 1.50 in any meridian for myopia or hyper-metropia.

Physical fitness standards - Applicants should keep regular exercises in case of gets rid of any physical injury. And Indian Army will also include following physical training –

1.complete running 2.4 km in 15 minutes

2.Push Ups-13 Nos.

3.Sit Ups-25 Nos.

4.Chin Ups 6 Nos.

5.Rope Climbing 3-4 Meters.

After passing B.com you can join Indian Army bur this is you last year.

After passing B.Com you have to qualify Combined Defence services exam.

C.D.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.

The age limit for C.D.S exam is 19-25 year.

After qualifying this exam you will join Officer Training Academy(O.T.A).

There are three stages of selection:-
> Written Exam
> Interview
> Medical exam

Date Of Notification:-25.05.2013
Last date of submission of form:-24.06.2013 (MONDAY)
Date of exam:-08.09.2013 (SUNDAY)

You can apply for the INDIAN MILITARY ACADEMY (IMA), through the CDS examination, CDS stands for the COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE examination, this examination is conducted by the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (UPSC).

THE MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL requirement for appear in this examination is a graduation degree , If you are a IMA aspirant , you must have graduation degree from
a recognized college.
The age limit for this examination is 19-25 years, There is not any sort of reservation is applied for any reserved category.

** you can apply for the post of NCC WOMEN or NCC MEN (Depending upon your Gender)

For this post , your age should be between 19-25 years only



** you can apply for the post of Group-'X' and 'Y' IN ARMY

The recruitment in the Army as soldier is broad based. Every male citizen,

irrespective of caste, class, religion and domicile, is eligible for recruitment in

the Army, provided he meets the laid down age, educational, physical and

medical standards.

Indian Army Soldier Qualifications are :

Age – 17 ½ - 21years

Educational Qualifications - SSLC/ Matric with 45% marks in aggregate, and 32% in each subject. No % reqd. if higher qualifications then only pass in Matric.

Physical Requirements - A minimum of 165-170 cms of height depending upon the region from where the candidate belongs with an appropriate weight (48-50kg again depending on the region) and chest of at least 77kg.

As you have completed your graduation you can give the CDS entrance exam and get into Military.

As there are age relaxations available for the candidates belonging to reservation there will be no problem regarding age that you have mentioned.
