sir,now m doing enginneering and my branch is electronics and coomunication , nw m in 3rd year, sir, can i start preparation of ips officer, plz suggest,

Yes. It is the right time for you to start preparation for IPS Exam as you are in the 3rd year of your ECE course.

In order to become IPS Officer, you shoud have to crack civil services examination which is the common written exam to be placed in various civil services like
-Indian Administrative Service
-Indian Police Service
-Indian Revenue Service etc.

The selection procedure for this will be by
-Civil Services Aptitude Test
-Civil Services Main Examination
-Interview

I suggest to decide upon the 2 optional subjects first, as per your interest and where you have some academic knowledge.

Electrical Engineering will be a better choice for you as one of the optional subject.

You can appear for this exam even in the final year of your ECE course also.

Start preparing for this exam from a Coaching Institute which will make your preparation so easy.

You need to secure high score in the Main Exam in order to be placed in IPS otherwise, you will be given admission in any other civil service.

Keep this in mind and carry out your preparation for this exam accordingly.

Don't neglect your academics also. Because, you should have completed Graduation course in order to be eligible to make entry into the civil services.

ya as mentioned above this is the right time to start your preparations even me too in the step..For us it is little bit tougher to crack the UPSC exam because of our academic we have to concentrate in our academic engineering subjects too..just set a single goal work hard on it and achieve it.

yes sure you can start preparing for it anytime after your schooling.educational qualifications for the exam is graduation in any stream.To crack the exam you should be prepare for it religiously atleast for one year and then write the exam.look into the syllabus published by UPSE either online or in employment newspaper when advertisements are published for vacancy of the same.good luck

After passing B.Tech you can join I.P.S.
For this you have to qualify the Civil services exam.
Civil services exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.

I have passed b.a. Final in 2013 and my age is 24 can i applying i.p.s. And what is procedure
