My son DOB is 31 March 2012. He is in class 6 in 2022-23 Can he take registration in class 9 in academic year 2025. -26.

The age limit of the candidate should be between 14 years to 15 years to get eligible for admission in class 9.

In CBSE Board , the age limit for admission in class 9 is 14 to 15 yrs.
And accordingly for class 10, it's 15 to 16 yrs.
But according to DOB for session 2025-2026, your child will attain the age of 12 to 13 yrs which is totally sufficient for admission in class 9.
