NET stands for National Eligibility Test.

UGC conduct the examination twice in a year.

This examination is conducted for the Junior Research Fellowship and Lecturer ship.


Minimum Eligibility For applying in NET examination

• Post Graduate degree in a subject from recognized university
• 55% marks in Post Graduation.


Age limit

For Lecturer ship - There is no age limit to apply for Lecturer ship.

The exam consist three papers

(It is 100 marks and a objective type paper).

Yes , M.Com student are applicable for NET exam because this is a masters degree .The minimum Qualification needed for NET Exam is masters degree.

NET stands for National Eligibility Test which is conduct twice time in year by UGC.

Those candidate have completed masters degree from recognized university are eligible for NET exam.

For general and OBC candidate must be hold 55%above in masters degree. SC/ST candidate must be hold 50% above in masters degree.For Junior research fellowship course your age must be in between 19 to 28 years.
For lectureship ,There is no upper age limit but the Minimum age is 19 years.There is no restriction for attempts NET exam.

You have not mention that you are previous year or final year student of M.Com.

If you are student of m.com Ist year then you can not apply. but If you are final year student of m.com then you can apply for net exam.

the candidate should be citizen of india.

The candidate should complete the post graduation from any recognized university.

You should have to score a min of 55% of marks in their post graduation course in order to be eligible for this exam.

Relaxation is there in percentage of marks upto 5% for tech candidates of sc/st category.

There is no upper age limit for the candidate lectureship.

But for JRF one should be in the group of 19 to 28 years.

Yes, M.Com. candidates are eligible for NET exam provided they fulfill other criteria.

NET - NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST conducted by UGC two times every year one in June and other in December for selection of Lectureship and award to JRF(Junior Research Fellowship).

The candidate must be an Indian National having completed Post Graduation Degree in any stream with at least 55% marks from a recognised University and not bellow the age of 19 years, is eligible to apply for NET. There is no upper age limit for those applying for Lectureship but those applying for JRF should not be more then 28 years.
