You can go for both either in commerce or science to take up Fashion Technology in college.

-> But science is mostly preferred than commerce which adds up little more value..

For bachelor’s course in design - (Fashion Design / Leather Design / Accessory Design / Textile Design / Knitwear Design / Fashion Communication):
Candidates need to pass 10+2 examination from a recognized education board/ institute. Those who have passed the General Certificate Education (GCE) test or any recognized foreign university/ public school examination can also apply for the entrance test conducted for this course.
Candidates with 3 or 4 year AICTE approved diploma courses are also eligible to take entry level test.
Usually, maximum age limit for the examination is 23 years

Fashion Designing. To pursue Postgraduate studies in Fashion Designing, one

needs to complete a Bachelor's Degree in Science or Arts or should be a

Bachelor's Degree holder in Fine Arts.

for bachelor degree in fashion designing the eligibility criteria is-
*Applicant should qualify high school exam with min. 50%, or equivalent in any stream.
*The maximum age limit to opt the course is upto 23 yr.

Instead of Commerce or Science, Arts stream would be better for those seeking career in Fashion Designing. Although there are many students of Commece and Science stream who have changed there field to fashion designing, and you can think off that would it be required. Most of the students cannot decide that which career should they choose and thats why problembs arises of choosing stream.

there is no stream specification in this course
since you have already decided to choose fashion designing course then i would suggest you to take commerce which is much easier than science at 10+2 level....
so why to take so much stress
opt for commerce...

For fashion designing course no need to choose science or commerce, you can choose arts for pursuing the fashion designing course.
You have to just pass the 12th with at least 50% of marks. After 12th you will get direct admission in any good colleges.

There is no compulsation to have commerce or science to opt fashion designing course, you can chose any stream which you like you can opt fashion designing as bachelor degree.

you can select both science or commerce.These both subject are eligible to pursue the fashion designing course.

Hie ... well i'm in 10th. So after completing 10th should i take PCM or commerce in order to pursue a Diploma or Degree in Fashion Designing

u need 2 get more than 60% 2 get commerce nd as u want 2 take science u need to get atleast a little above 70%........then u cn go 4 ur fashion designing course in whichever college u wud lyk 2.......nd btw...u cn get fashion designing with all 3 streams

For pursing under Graduate course in Fashion Designing you can chose either of the Science or Commerce subject after 10th standard. But Science subject is preferably good for Fashion Designing Course.

The candidate having completed 12th in any stream with at least 50% marks from a recognised Board is eligible to apply for Fashion Designing course.

Some top Institution conduct entrance exam for admission to this course.

hello m medha i want to do fashion designing so what to choose after 10......actually im a bit unique among the above.m in 10 in xaviers jaipur n m abit confuse wat 2 chose after 10 i love science bio and i dnt want to take commerce and i hate ip
