Whats are the courses, which we can do after completing 3 year diploma in Mechanical engineering or computer science? Plz help me.... Give me a good suggetion. (Not interested in B.E)

It is a good decision to take admission in B.Tech after completing your Diploma in Engineering. You can join B.Tech course (regular or distance) by D2D process as you have Diploma in Engineering. B.Tech programme allows Diploma students to take entry directly into second year of engineering course.

For taking admission in B.Tech, you must have done at least 3 years diploma after 10th in any branch of engineering.

Some colleges take admission through lateral entry exams like Joint Entrance Examination of Lateral Entry (JELET), Diploma to Degree Entrance Competitive exam, etc. so you need to appear and crack these exams. Some colleges conducted their own entrance exam for getting entry.

Admission procedure varies from college to college. So you will have to contact colleges individually.

After completing 3 Years diploma course in Mechanical or Computer Science,you can do B.Tech in Mechanical or Computer Science Engineering. To get a admission into the B.Tech you need to appear for the Lateral Entry Exam which is conducted by Directorate of Technical Education. After qualifying in the entrance exam you get a admission into B.Tech second year directly. And you can choose the course of your interest depending upon your entrance exam in the top colleges you wish.

Bachelor of Technology is the best course to pursue after completing diploma. It is generally recommended to diploma holders to apply for the B.Tech course which I will also recommend to you.

There will be no need to pursue the 4 years of B.Tech. Since you are diploma holder you can apply for the B.Tech through lateral entry scheme.

Under the lateral entry scheme, diploma holders can take admission directly in the second year of Bachelor of Techology. There is no need to do first year. You can take advantage and apply for admission through lateral entry.

Before you go ahead let me point out drawback of going with lateral entry scheme. The best engineering colleges in the country like Indian Institutes of Technology and National Institutes of Technology do not offer lateral entry admission.

If you are keen on completing B.Tech from these colleges then you will have to appear for the Joint Entrance Exam.

However if you don't really have any urge to take admission in IITs or NITs then go ahead with lateral entry admission.

You will have to appear for Lateral Entry Engineering Test. You must have 60 percent marks in diploma to appear for the exam.

After clearing the LEET you can take admission in the seats reserved by the Engineering colleges for the lateral entry admission.

There are other entrance exams apart from the LEET. Some of these exams even accept candidate with 50 percent marks.

Here i just tell you the all details about after three year diploma,

First of all if you are completing your three year Polytechnic in any Electrical, Mechanical,Electronics, Computer Science etc

So you have to join the engineering college for engineering otherwise you can also do job after completion of diploma ,there are lots of jobs are presented after diploma also.
but i think After Three Years of Completing Diploma you have to join Engineering.
