i m a research scholar of dibrugarh university. now i m pursuing pre-registration course work. but i m not getting any financial assistance. may i kindly know the criteria for applying for doctoral felowship in icssr?

Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) sponsors two students and one
teaching scholar for carrying out their Ph.D. degree in Social Sciences every year .

Eligibility Criteria :

AGE LIMIT:
Age should be below 35,

EDUCATION:

Must have a Master's degree of a recognised University with a first or high second class
with 55% of marks in Social Science Degree.
Candidates must have cleared the National Education Test (NET) of the UGC .
Two years of research experience with publications in Economics / Sociology /
Political Science

Time period

The duration of the fellowships for student category will be for a maximum period of 3
years and for teaching scholar will be of 2 years.

Value of the Fellowship:

The value of the fellowship for student category is Rs. 6000 per month and a
contingency grant of Rs 12,000/= per annum for 2 years.

PROCEDURE TO APPLY:

You will get notification in newspapers about the fellowship program .

Eligible candidates have to apply in the format given in the advertisement along with all
required documents.
