Criteria and procedure of JEE Mains registration with NIOS Board?
With Physics and Chemistry from CBSE Board and Mathematics from NIOS will I get admission in NITs through JEE Main? The reason is that I have passed my 12 from CBSE in 2018 but didn't had good marks in Mathematics. I didn't registered for an improvement exam. Now the only way left is NIOS. So do I have to write all 5 from NIOS or 2 subjects from CBSE and 1 from NIOS? Or, just 3 subjects from NIOS will get me through JEE Main?

No, you cannot appear in JEE Main by appearing in improvement examination of Mathematics from NIOS while appearing in Physics and Chemistry paper with CBSE board as for appearing in the same examination one must have completed Class 12th in all concerned subjects from a single recognized university.
