BCA is a becholor degre for computer science and u get job as a programmer by this field.many programming languages are introduced in BCA degree. and the other one B.SC. is the bechelor degree of science and u can also choose b.sc.(computer application).its also a good idea. but in my opinion BCA is a good option for future preference. so all the best for your future. |

Hi Friend,
coming to your first question ie difference between BCA and BSc, BCA is Bachelor of computer applications. this deals with the computer related subjects and after this you need to do MCA to get a good job. BSc is Bachelor of science. in this you can choose the area of your interest like BSc maths BSc Physics BSc nursing BSc Biology BSc Biotech ect after BSc you can do MSc or you can go for MCA or MBA depends on the stream you have choosen in BSc. coming to your second qestion ie Is computre science a different area or does it come under Computer Engineering? in engineering we have a option to choose CSE ie Computer Science Engineering. hence Computer Science comes under engineering branch only. your 3rd question B.Tech is better than BSc. |

Re: Difference between BCA and BSc? Is Computer Science a different area or does it come under computer engineering? Is B.Tech better than BSc?
Dear friend,
•There are lots of difference between B.sc and BCA.These two courses are totally different from each other. B.sc means Bachelor of Science.Only those students who have science subjects in Back ground, they can apply for these course. And BCA means Bachelor of Computer Application.Only those people who have Science in Background they can apply for BCA course. Generally after completing B.SC students goes for higher studies. Also they are eligible for Govt. jobs as well as for Private jobs. After completing B.sc they can apply for Teaching job,Marketing job,Banking job,Railway job etc. Also they can apply for Higher studies. BCA students also have good opportunities in Private sectors as well as in Govt. sectors.Generally after completing BCA students goes for MCA degree.MCA degree is a Master degree of Computer Application. After completing BCA,students can apply for jobs. They are eligible for Railway job,Industrial job,Software sectors job,Technical jobs. ♦B.SC students can apply for these following jobs. INDIAN RAILWAY TEACHING JOB COLLEGE FACULTY DEFENCE BANK JOBS ♦BCA students can apply for these following jobs after completing their course. INDIAN RAILWAY DEFENCE BANK JOBS IT SECTORS WIPRO SIEMENS YAHOO! ACCENTURE TECH MAHINDRA •Computer science is really a different area and obviously it comes under computer Engineering. If you complete computer Engineering you definitely will get a good job in many sectors, private sectors as well as in Govt. sectors. After completing Computer science Engineering students can apply for IT jobs as well as for industrial jobs. They can apply in Railways,Banks,Defence,Civil services. •Yes obviously B.tech is better than B.SC.But i will advise you don't go with others advice, you must have to go in which you have interests most.If you want to go for B.sc then it will be better for you to go for B.sc course.Otherwise you can apply for B.tech course. All the best. |

Go for the b.tech course which have got ample opportunities for placements. You can choose CSE, ECE, Mechanical, Civil....etc in this field, depending upon your interest. Also, consider taking admission in one of the better colleges/universities like: TISS, BITS, Lovely Professional University, Banaras Hindu University, AMU .....; as they provide quality education.
