Does PES University, Bangalore have AICTE approval for B Tech?
PES Institute of Technology (PESIT) was converted into PES University in 2014. Does AICTE approval for PESIT automatically apply for PES University ? |

Re: Difference between UGC and AICTE for B.Tech?
UGC or the United Grants Commission approves the institutes or universities to operate as a separate entity and they check whether these institutes are as per the decorum that a university in the Indian college education system must maintain.
For a new university to be granted the stature of a deemed or deemed-to-be university, it has to be approved by UGC. AICTE-All India Council of Technical Education approves colleges that want to offer technical courses like engineering, diploma etc. Any college under any institute must necessarily get AICTE's approval if they want to start even one technical course. |
