I have completed my intermediate from Humanity/Arts streams. I wanted to do a course in designing from NIFT. So, wanted to know about the different courses being offered by NIFT and eligibility to join each? Further, does NIFT also conducts any entrance?

NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology) offers various UG and PG courses based on entrance exam followed by group discussion/interview. As per your qualification, You are eligible for B.Des course in NIFT.

NIFT Offering Courses and Eligibility
- Bachelor of Design : (10+2) in any stream
- Master of Design : Bachelor's degree in any discipline
- Bachelor of Fashion Technology : (10+2) in science stream with PCM subjects
- Master of Fashion Management : Bachelor's degree in any discipline
- Master of Fashion Technology : B.E/B.Tech in Fashion Technology

B.F.Tech.

So, candidates passed 12th are eligible to appear in the examination to get admission in B.Des course.

After qualifying in entrance examination, you will get admission in the course.

To join NIFT you will have to appear and qualify in the entrance examination conducted by the institute.

The minimum required qualification to appear for the examination is that candidate must have passed 12th in any discipline.

Candidates are eligible to get admission only after qualifying in the examination.

Eligibility criteria to study in NIFT:-

NIFT stand for National Institute of Fashion Technology:
Eligibility criteria:-
Candidate must have a pass grade in the senior secondary school examination conducted by the National Open School with physics, chemistry and mathematics among the five subjects.

Age limit:-
Maximum age of the candidate should not exceed 23 years.
Age relaxation for OBC category candidates 3 years and SC / ST category candidates 5 years.

There are many courses available but you are eligible to get admission in B.Des course only as per your educational qualification.

To get admission in the NIFT, you have to appear and qualify in entrance test conducted by the institute.
