There is no medical entrance examination conducted at state level. Some of the medical entrance exams conducted are:

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for admission in MBBS and BDS course in central government, state government and private medical colleges.

AIIMS entrance exam for admission in AIIMS only.

JIPMER entrance exam.

For all these exam, you should be 12th passed with PCB subjects and should have secured at least 50% marks. Application forms are generally available from January end to March.

In 2016, Supreme court gave order to unify various medical entrance exams conducted in India and club them under one national entrance test. It finally led to birth of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test.

NEET is competitive entrance exams conducted by CBSE for admission in MBBS and BDS course. Other than this, there are two more exams for autonomous institutions in medical field like AIIMS, JIPMER.

Your subjects in 12th must include Physics, Chemistry and Biology to be eligible for these exams. You should have at least 50% marks.

If you want to get admission in MBBS and BDS course you have to appear and qualify in NEET.

There is no examination at the state level for admission in MBBS and BDS course.

If you want to get admission into BHMS, BAMS, BV.Sc course you have to appear and qualify in the entrance examination conducted at the state level.

The common eligibility to appear for all the entrance examination is that candidate must have passed 12th in PCB stream.

Most of the entrance examination is conducted in the month of April or May.

NEET is a single entrance test for admission in MBBS and BDS course.

But, if you want to get admission in other courses such as BHMS, BAMS, B.Pharma, BV.Sc etc. you have to appear and qualify for CET entrance examination.

The entrance examination is conducted by private institutes and the state government.

The entrance examination is conducted in the month of May.

As far as you are concerned about the various medical entrance examinations held at national or state level for offering admission in various medical degree courses then I would like to let you know that from 2016 all the state PMTs/CETs and AIPMT has been replaced by a single national level entrance examination which is known as NEET.

Apart from NEET, AIIMS MBBS entrance examination and JIPMER MBBS entrance examinations are two other national level examination out of which a candidate has too qualify one for getting admission in an undergraduate medical degree course.

For details and notifications regarding these entrance examinations you can refer to their respective official links www.cbseneet.nic.in, www.aiimsexams.org and www.jipmer.edu.in.
