Are final year students able to write qualifying degree b.e/b.tech on application form of gate 2012?

Yes. Candidates who are pursuing final year of BE or B.Tech can appear for GATE Exam.

But from this academic year, it was made compulsory that pre-final year candidates of Engineering are not eligible to appear for GATE Exam.

One more benefit to candidates through GATE Exam is, there will be no age criteria to appear for GATE exam. One can appear for GATE Exam at any age if he fulfills academic criteria.

There will be no limit on number of attempts for GATE Exam. One can appear for GATE Exam as many times as wanted.

GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. GATE Exam is being jontly conducted by Indian Institue of Science and 7 IIMs (Indian Institute of Management).

You did not mention whether you are a candidate of pursuing fianl year of BE/B.Tech are completed candidate.

GATE stands for Graduation Aptitude Test for Engineering.


-it is conducted every year for taking admission in M.TECH.

- you can apply in final year.

- GATE score only valid for 1 year.

- There is no limit in how many years to complete engineering.

- there is no cut off in percentage to apply for the gate exam

- there is no age limit for applying for gate exam .

- though gate exam you get admission in IIT AND NIT COLLEGES AND SEVERAL OTHER COLLEGES .

- to take admission in IIT OR NIT COLLEGES you need to score above 99 percentile .

- to clear gate exam you should have good knowledge of your subjects .

- join a gate forum for good preparation .

From 2012 pre-final year student can not apply for the GATE EXAM ,only final year student can apply for it.

ELIGIBILITY FOR GATE

The following categories of candidates are eligible to appear in GATE :
Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering/Technology/ Architecture (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final year of such programmes.

Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering/Technology/Architecture (Post-B.Sc./Post-Diploma) and those who are in the final year of such programmes.

Hello friend, yes you are eligible for graduation aptitude test for engineering(gate). It is the entrance exam of m.tech. The eligibility is graduation in engineering or master degree graduation in any stream from any recognized university. Final year engineering graduates are also apply for the gate exam. There is no age limit for this exam. Prepare well. All the best

Yes final year students can also apply for GATE entrance.This score will be valid for 2 years.

Important dates for GATE-2012:
Issuing of application form from 12th Sep 2011 to 17th Oct 2011.
Exam will be held on 29th Jan 2012.

Yes, you are eligible for GATE exam...
GATE exam is an entrance exam which is conducted by IIT's and IISC jointly..

Eligibility for GATE exam:-

1.The candidate must have complete the bachelor degree in the fields like-Engineering/Technology/Architecture.
or,
2.The candidate must have complete the master degree in the fields like- M.Sc/MBA/MCA.

3.The candidate can appear in GATE exam during the final year of graduation or post graduation course..

4.The validity of GATE score is 2 years.

5.There is no upper age limit..

6.There is no number of attempt restriction.

As you are in final year of BE/B.tech course then you are eligible for GATE exam.

Eligibility for GATE 2012

Yes you are definitely eligible for appearing in GATE 2012..only pre-final year students are not eligible for appearing for the exam..

GATE or Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering takes place every year for admissions into M.Tech courses into the best colleges of India like IITs,NITs,BITS,IISc and many more..

The last date for applying online for the GATE exam is 17th October,2011 and in the offline mode the GATE forms can be submitted to the regional GATE office by 24th October,2011

The exam is on 29th January,2012

There is no age limit for appearing in GATE neither there is any restriction on the number of attempts for appearing in the GATE exam..
