I recently got a medical seat in Karnataka through CET. We paid the fees prescribed by the Karnataka Examinations Authority. I was wondering if we have to pay the college separately when we join?

It is good that you have cleared the entrance exam CET and got seat in Karnataka college.As you are telling that you have paid the fee to Karnataka examination authority, it is the examination/counseling fee.You have to pay the college fees as tution fee directly to the college in which you got the admission.

As you had paid the fees to Karnataka Examination Authority, but that fees is only for locking your seat in that particular institute. In other words, you can call it as Counselling fees.
Now, for paying the Tution Fees you will have to pay it in the institution itself while taking admission along with the relevant documents.
