Eligibility to become a Police Superintendent for a female candidate with 156 cms height?
Hi, I am 24 years old female candidate. I have completed my Post Graduation and I want to become a Police Superintendent. I have secured 80.5% in 10th and 55.5% in 12th standard. My height is 156 cms. So, am I eligible to become an SI with such height?

Dear aspirant,
To become Superintendent of Police, you will have first to qualify civil services exam. Civil services exam is conducted by UPSC. Eligibility Criteria: Candidate must hold graduation degree from any recognized university with aggregate 55% marks. Nationality : Indian Age limit for general category is 21 to 32 years. Relaxation up to 5 years for SC/ST category. Relaxation up to 3 years for OBC category. These are the minimum requirement to qualify physical test: Height – Male 165 cm & ST (not the SC/ OBC) – 160 cm Female 150 cm & ST (not SC/ OBC)- 145 cm Chest – Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm. Female Min 79 cm expansion 5 cm. Eye sight – 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye. Near vision J 1 for good eye. J2 for worst eye. Good Luck |
