the general eligibility criterion for various public sector unit is-
candidate should have minimum of 60% marks through out career. that means they should secure minimum of 60% marks in 10th, 12th and in graduation.

candidate should not have more than two years gap in their study. also if there any gap in study they have to provide proper reason for the gap.

candidate should not have any active backlog when they are appearing in the recruitment process.

candidate should not have more than two backlog.

these are general criterion for PSU recruitment process. but it varies from sector to sector. sometime minimum percentage become 65% or maximum year gap 1years. this way the criterion is varied. but generally these criterion are followed in most of the leading public sector unit. the eligibility criterion is mentioned in every notification of job. so for exact criterion for exact sector read the notification carefully.

The eligibility criteria for engineering freshers in most of the PSUs as well as other MNCs is as follows:

1. 60% through out applicant's academic life i.e. 10th, 12th & BTech
2. No current backlogs.
3. Not more than 2 years of academic gap

But there are some PSUs which provide exception to these eligibility requirements. That is they allow candidates with less than 60% marks in their academic life or candidates with backlogs to appear in their recruitment drive.

they consider a combination of your GPA and standardized test scores, as well as a few other factors.

The high school grade-point average (GPA) accounts for approximately two-thirds of their decision. The remaining one-third is based on other factors, which may include standardized test scores (SAT or ACT), class rank, personal statement and activities list.

candidate should not have any active backlog when they appear forrecruitment process.

So apply after reading the eligibility criteria throughly in the notification.

All the best.

Hi

If you want to get in the PSU's. These are the following eligibility criteria :

1. You have to between age 21 ans 30 years.

2. You should be a minimum graduate from any recognized university with a minimum 60% marks.

So you are certainly eligible for the PSU exams.

Either you can apply separately, or most PSU's recruit candidates based on their GATE score.

dear friend,

Eligiblity Criteria Will Vary From Company To Company, But To Apply In PSU, You Have To Passed In Your Bachelor Degree Because Graduation Is the Minimum Eligiblity, If You Are Interested To Apply for PSU Exams.

But Basically Graduates in Engineering, Technology in Civil, Chemical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical and Electronics And Telecommunications Discipline From a Recognised University Are Eligible to Apply for PSU Examination.

For BHEL -

Full time Bachelor’s Degree Course In The Discipline Of Mechanical, Electrical, Electrical & Electronics From a Recognized Institute, With Minimum 60% Marks in Aggregate.

So, The Eligiblity Creteria Are Same for NTPC, HPCL, OR Any Other PSU.

So, Mostly Recruitment In PSU Are For Engineering Students.

And If You Want Complete Information Regarding PSU Eligiblity, Then Please Read the Given Attach File, All the Necessary Details regarding PSU Are Clearly Mentioned -

Dear pal,
The public sector companies are NTPC, DRDO, ONGC, BSNL, HAL,BEL etc. The public sector unit conducted entrance exams and the vacancy is filled by them. The public sector companies recruited aspirants through off campus as well as through campus placement. But from this year the selection procedure is changed.
To become eligible for the public sector units the aspirant need to write GATE exam and become eligible by clearing it. The eligibility criteria differs from company to company.
All the public sector units requires bachelor degree as minimum requirement. They may require aspirants from a specific discipline. Those who have the corresponding required degree can apply for it.
The aspirant will be ranked based on the gate score. They will be called for group discussion . Then the aspirant will be interviewed personnel and selected
