This is the most prestigious service among all the Indian Civil Services . IAS/IPS/IFS are the services which are obtained by a Common Entrance exam called CSE(Civil Service Examination) which is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) The Basic Eligibility criteria for IAS Examination is ->You must complete 21 years of age ->you must obtain a degree for sure. This is all required to appear for Civil Service examination. There is no special age limit for Females in Civil Exams they are considered as general candidates only. so the same age limit as general candidates. General Candidate can make four attempts in civil service examination An OBC Candidate can make seven Attempts for the same SC/ST Candidates will not have any limit they can appear till they reach their max age limit i.e., 35 years. I hope i have provided all the required requisites make use of this . All the best Regards ~AdityA~ |

Re: Eligibility criteria for RAS or IAS? Age limit for females in Civil Exams? How many attempts are allowed?
IAS - Indian Administrative Service As you have said that you had a 3 years gap,i am not clarrified whether you hold the age limits and the other thing is that you have said that you are doing your graduation, first you must finish your respected degree. The other criteria are: Eligibility: 1.The candidates must be a citizen of India. 2.The candidates must have a age limit of 21-30 years. 3.For SC/ST - 35,OBC - 33 years, for Ex-service men it is 5 years from the prescribed limits. 4.The candidates must have a degree from a recognized university. 5.The number of attempts that are restricted are: 6.For SC/ST- no limit,OBC - 7,General - 4. The candidates are selected through 3 ways: Preliminary exam. Main exam. Interview. For more information you could check at the official website of UPSC at http://www.upsc.gov.in/ Thank you. |
