The eligibility for pursuing software engineering course i.e; Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech/B.E.) in IT ( Information Technology)/Computer Science stream from an AICTE approved technical college is a higher secondary school degree with Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics as main subjects with at least 45% marks from a recognized board of education.

Further in order to get admission in top technical colleges for pursuing software engineering course you need to qualify entrance examinations like JEE ( Joint Entrance Examination ), State EEE/CET, COMED-K, BITSAT, VITEEE, etc. by satisfying their respective eligibility requirements.

Yes, you are eligible. You can opt for exams like COMED-K, JEE Mains & Advanced, your state exam etc. Also, autonomous colleges held respective exams you can enquire and try for that. Most of the syllabus for these entrance exams are similar to your board exams. Thorough study of the syllabus is required to crack these exams or you can join some good coaching institute like Aakash who will prepare you for these exams.
