No you are not eligible to appear for SI Post this year (in 2015). To be eligible for Sub Inspector (SI) post, you must have completed "Graduation" or Bachelor's Degree from a recognized accredited university or final year graduation pursuing candidates can apply for exam. You have completed your Graduation 1st year in 2014, and will complete 2nd year in 2015, and 03rd year in 2016 (04th year in 2017 if B.E/ B.Tech). So at the least case, you are going to finish your graduation in 2016. So it is clear that, you cannot apply for SI post in 2015 year and so not eligible. The minimum age required for SI post is 20 years and must not exceed 25 years for General category candidates, and age relaxation will be applicable for reserved candidates. I suggest you to start your strong preparation for SI Exam from now onwards (during your 2nd year of Graduation) and you'll complete full syllabus by 03rd year Graduation. So that you can easily write exam when you'll appear for SI exam in 2016.

No, you are not eligible to sit for this exam this year.

Candidates who want to become SI (Sub-Inspector) must have completed at least their bachelor degree in any discipline from the recognized university.

Final year candidates are also applicable to sit for SI exam.

If you are pursuing your 3 years graduation course then, you will become eligible for this exam from next year i.e., SI exam 2016 (If 4 years bachelor course then, you will become eligible for SI exam 2017)

Age of candidates should be minimum 20 years. And upper age should not exist 25 years (General category candidates).

Age relaxation is applicable on upper age for reserved category up to 3 years and 5 years for OBC and SC/ST category respectively.

So, first of all complete your graduation then, you will surely eligible to sit for this exam.

You are not eligible to apply SI post after completing your Graduation degree.

Because for apply SI exam the minimum Education qualification is Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University.

Hi,

You are not yet eligible for Sub Inspector post in Indian Police as you have not yet complete your graduation.

To become an SI in Indian Police you have to appear in IPS(Indian Police Service) examination to become eligible for IPS you have to compete your Graduation degree.

That is why you cannot apply for IPS 2015.

But you can apply for the post after your finishing your graduation degree.

Other criteria to required to eligible for IPS is

Age limit must be within 21 to 30 years.

For male candidates minimum height must be at least 165 cm.

For female candidate minimum height must be at least 150 cm.
