Respected Sir/Madam, I have completed my Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. But now I want to do ICAI course as I have an interest to do this course. So, am I eligible to apply for this course? Please help me to know about this asap.

ICAI means Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

This is regulator body of Chartered accountancy course in India. This course has three stages:

Common Proficiency Test.

Integrated Professional competence course.

Final course.

12th passed or its equivalent can apply for CPT which is entry level exam of CA course. Diploma is equivalent to 12th. You can apply for CPT course.

ICAI stands for Institute of Chartered Accountants in India. There are 3 courses in ICAI.
1. Foundation Course
2. Intermediate Course
3. Final Course
Eligibility criteria of all this courses are given below

Eligibility Criteria to pursue ICAI course:

>> Foundation Course:

<> Candidates age should not be below than 17 years.
<> Candidates must complete class 10+2 in any discipline with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.

>> Intermediate Course:

<> Candidates should complete graduation in any discipline.
<> Candidates who completed Foundation Course at ICAI are also eligible for this course.

>> Final Course:

<> Candidates who have completed Intermediate course from ICAI are only eligible for this course.

Duration :
*Foundation programme - 6 months
*Intermediate programme - 12 months
*Final Course - 12 months
