The eligibility for tnpsc group1 services :you finished one degree. Age should be 21 to 30. You prepare well. Many books are available for that exam.

Tnpsc group-I or group-II which exam is easy?

Are the M.E students eligible for applying group 1 service exams or over qualified????????.... plz do reply me????

You are eligible for next year, only because group 1 and group 2 exams are over for this year (july 30 there was group 2).

next notification for group 1 can be expected ( i guess subject to if we have group 1 next year ) , approximately the notificaitons come during January for group 1, and group 2 around Jan/Feb next year....

The fees will be ~75 for group 2

~rs. 125 for group 1 preliminary ( when you pass preliminary you will have to apply to group 1 mains)

The Candidates who have written the final year degree examination may also apply to
the Preliminary Examination for direct recruitment to the posts included in Group-I
Services, subject to the condition that they should produce proof of having passed the
degree examination when admitted to the Main Written Examination failing which they
will not be admitted to the Main Written Examination

Hi,

You can apply for group 1 or group 2 eligibility wise they both require graduation. But you have to make subtle difference in your preparation in the stage of the exams for instance Prelims (objective) and Mains (subjective) for group 1. for group 2 you require objective knowledge with a lot of horizontal knowledge.

Yes very much, Degree is enough as eligibility for group 1. Career it depends what you want to do. Group 1 posts are filled ie Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of
Police (Category-I) 3. Assistant Commissioner (Commercial Tax Officer), 4. District rEGISTRAR
5. Assistant Director of Rural
Development Department
6. Divisional Officer in the Fire
and Rescue Services
and similar posts...since Career is a personal choice i leave it to you to judge if you get good career from the exams All the best

last year it was 35 years.. But please wait for this years notification in June 2012.

MAXIMUM AGE LIMIT – Should not have completed -
(a) 35 years for SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BC(OBCM)s, BCMs, and Destitute
Widows of all castes.
