Eligible age for class 10 exam?
Sir my son is studying now 9th class and he is now in 12 1/2 years at the time of 10th class exam is he eligible

As per the CBSE guidelines,
Minimum age limit to give 10th class exam is 14 years. There is no upper age limit, but can only give 3 attempts. So, if your son reaches the age limit, then he will be eligible for 10th exam. |

The minimum age limit to appear for class 10th board exam is 14 years, as of 31st December of the year of examination.
However there is no upper age limit to appear in the exam. If at the time of class 10th exam , he attains the age of 14 years , then he is eligible or else if he is 13.5 years also , then also he is eligible to appear for board exam. |

The age limit criteria varies with state and it is the Directorate of State education which decides the age limit.
So, you can visit the concerned office or the respective department for the detail information about eligibility. |

Eligible age for class 10 exam:-

The minimum age limit to appear for CBSE class 10th board exam is 14 years, that means the candidate must have completed 14 years of age as on 31st December of the year of examination, there is not any maximum age limit to appear for CBSE class 10th board exam.

The minimum age for NIOS is 14 years old. He/she must have passed class 9 examination from a school recognized or affiliated by CBSE board or any other recognized board. He/she must be studying in class 10 in a school affiliated by CBSE in the academic year 2022-23. There is no age limit to appear for CBSE 10th exam 2023.
