Re: Which engineering branches are eligible for IES exam?
Hello friend,
If you hold a degree in engineering from a recognized university, you can write the engineering service exam, provided you are within the age limit of 21-30 years. The engineering service examination is conducted for the following departments of engineering: Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Civil Engineering Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering So, its quite obvious that candidates belonging to any of these group of engineering will be taking the test but as per the eligibility criteria set by the union public service commission, it is nowhere mentioned that candidates belonging to these four departments of engineering are only eligible. For more information regarding the engineering service exam, please refer to the official website of UPSC. |
