Hi, Now i am studing in 10th standard After 10th i want to join for fashion designing ! How many year took to complete this cource and I like to study this cource in banglore so is it available there!?

After completion of your class 10th you can join diploma courses in fashion designing:

Diploma in Jewellery Design
Fashion Photography Course
Fashion Business Management

I would like to suggest you to join a degree course in fashion designing after completion of your class 12th in any discipline with at least 50% marks.

You can appear in these given entrance test after class 12th:
National Institute of Fashion Designing
SOFT
Army Institute of Fashion Designing etc.

To do a degree course in fashion designing a candidate must have attained the minimum qualification of 12th from any discipline from a recognised board with minimum 50% marks and 45% for reserved categories.

After completion of 12 you have to appear in the entrance exams like NIFT, SOFT etc. to get admission in top colleges of India.

As you can see, right after 10th, you won’t have much choices when it comes to courses. Also, most of the reputed fashion technology and design institutes have 10+2 as the minimum educational qualification required to secure an admission.

I suggest my readers to go for 11th and 12th schooling after 10th standard. After completing your 12th standard board examination, you will become eligible to pursue even better courses, such as- BFT (Bachelor of Fashion Technology), Bachelor of Fashion Communication, Bachelor of Design, Bachelor of Fashion Merchandising etc.

These Bachelor’s Degree programs are much more valuable than the Diploma and Certificate programs, which you folks could pursue after 10th.

The best part is that you may even pursue these Bachelor’s Degree courses from some of the best fashion and design institutes in India. You may follow these Bachelor’s Degree courses up with PG courses like- Master’s Degree in Design, PG Diploma programs, PhD program etc.
