Is a graduate diploma equivalent to a graduate degree?

A graduate degree and graduate diploma are not considered equivalent. An individual with a graduate degree is eligible for various examinations which do not consider a diploma holder. The major reason behind this is that a diploma can be awarded to an individual by any private institute on completion of a particular course but a degree is conferred by a recognized university. Therefore, a degree is considered to be more valuable than that of a diploma.

No, these two are totally different courses. Graduate diploma is not a degree course.

Where as a graduation degree with three years of span, is an actual graduation course.

A diploma is done after passing only secondary or 10th exam. and a graduation degree can be obtained after passing 10(+2) or higher secondary.

So a degree is much higher course rather than a diploma course.

I have a BA in Philosophy but i'm willing to teach geography. do you think if i took a post-graduate diploma in geography i would be able to apply for a pgce in geography, even with a degree in Philosophy?

graduation certificate is issued by indian army.so what is the value and where i,can use.

A graduate diploma and degree is never equivalent.After your diploma you should do your degree, then only you can get a good job with a good salary.
Even though you can surely get your job after the diploma you cant get a good salary when compared to degree.
so better to go for your degree than diploma.
you can also study your degree after diploma which would be an advantage for you.

In North America, Diploma can only be pursued after finishing Bachelors degree. In India, one can enter in a diploma program after high school. So, Diploma in North America is much more valuable.

No, Diploma Graduate is not equivalent to the Degree Graduated it is equal to 12th standard but, have Diploma Degree........

After Completing your Diploma Courses you can join Degree courses as Lateral Entry (Diploma to Degree) Process.........

You can direct enter in 2nd Year of Degree Course......

Then after completing 3 years in Degree you have the certificate and Degree Graduate.......

A degree emphasizes on the significance of academics while a diploma has more focus on getting a person trained in some particular field.

I had did a 1 year post graduation diploma. So please suggest that I am a post graduate or graduate. Because some times I have to tick on some forms in which qualification is mentioned that you are Graduate or post graduate. These are simple forms like PF forms, etc.
