Story Board Artists are the professionals who translate the screenplays into a series of illustrations so as to plan complex scenes in a film. This will help to save lot of time wasted on discussions and eliminate any unsuitable scenes. After reading the screenplay, story board artists will consult the directors to know about the scenes to be storyboarded. Then they will draw pictures which depicts the position of the characters in the frame so that the whole scene can be visualized with that picture. They will later make necessary changes using software packages and the directors will use this story board to direct each scene perfectly.

Qualifying Exam

Candidates who want to pursue their career as Story Board Artist should obtain Bachelor of Fine Arts degree or Bachelor’s degree in Design. Then they should complete Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Animation so that they can understand various software tools to be used in Story Board making. If it is not possible for the candidates to obtain any degree in Fine Arts or Design, then they can go for Master’s Diploma in Digital Animation after passing plus two or its equivalent examination. This course will enable the candidates to achieve enough skills required for a story board artist. Adequate experience in this field is essential to pursue a long term career as story board artist.
