Which is the highest post in Police of any state or city?
Hi, I heard that Inspector General or IG is the highest post in Police of any state or city. Is it true? Then what about Police Commissioner? How to become IG? What should be the minimum education required? Which entrance exam should one clear?

You can appear in Civil Service examination for recruitment as SP in a city.
Only after the promotion, you will become eligible for selection as IG or police commissioner. Civil Service examination is conducted by UPSC. It is conducted in three stages, so you need to appear and qualify in the examination for final selection. For more information visit at www.upsc.gov.in. |
