how to apply for exam of income tax officer...please tell me the procedure

Income Tax Officer

Eligibility:- Candidate should have graduate degree with good percentage from
recognized university.

Age Limit:- Candidate should be between 18 to 27 years.

To apply:- Eligible candidate can apply by the online from the official website.

Physical Eligibility:- (a) Inspector of Central Excise/Preventive Officer (Male
candidates)

(i) Physical Standards (Minimum)

Height 157.5 cms
Chest 81 cms (fully expanded with a minimum expansion of 5 cms
Relaxable by 5 cms in the case of Garhwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas, Kumaon Region, Nagaland Tribes and members of ST


(ii) Physical Test:

Walking
1600 metres in 15 minutes
Cycling
8 Km in 30 minutes


(b) Inspector of Central Excise/Preventive Officer (female Candidates)

(i) Physical Standard:

Height 152 cms
a.Weight 48 Kg
b. Height relaxable by 2.5 cm and weight by 2 kg for Gorkhans, Garhwalis, Asamese, Kumaon region and Nagaland Tribes and members of ST


2. Physical Test:

a. Walking
1 km in 20 minutes
b.Cycling
3 km in 2

Income Tax Officer Exam is conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC)

Eligibility criteria:

* Candidates should be a graduate from a recognized university
* Candidates should have the age limit within 18-17 years.
* Candidates for OBC have 3 years of relaxation.
* Candidates for SC/ST have 5 years of relaxation.
* Candidates should be physically fit.

Procedure:

* Written Exam
* Personal Interview

* General Awareness
* Arithmetical Ability
* General Intelligence
