HI!
After passing graduation with any stream you are eligible for C.I.D officer.

For joining C.I.D you have to qualify the entrance exam conducted by Staff Selection commission(S.S.C).

Eligibility for S.S.C EXAM:-
>> Pass graduation with any stream from recognized University.

>> Age limit is 21-30 year.
For ST/SC candidate 21-35 year.

> Only Indian Can apply in this exam.

CRIME INVESTIGATION DEPARTMENT

This exam is conducted by SSC(Staff Selection Commission) through SSC UDC Exam.The Eligibility requirement are :-

Educational qualification :-

• Graduation pass out in any stream from recognized university.

Marks :-

• General/OBC Category candidates - 50% minimum.
• SC/ST Category candidates - 45% minimum.

Age :-

• Minimum age should be 18 years.
• Age should not exceed above 27 years.

Exam Pattern :-

• Preliminary Exam - Objective type.
• Mains Exam - Written type.
• Personal Interview.

Exam Syllabus for SSC UDC

To join CID you need to appear for CGPE exam i.e. Combined Graduate preliminary Exam which is conducted by SSC (Staff selection commission)board every year.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: Graduation in any discipline

AGE LIMIT : 20 - 27 years
Upper age relaxation will applicable SC/ST candidates for 5 years and OBC candidates for 3 .

If you want to join CID then you need to take up SSC Combined Graduate Exam.

The exam is conducted by Staff Selection Commission not by UPSC.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-

>>Should have a graduation degree in any stream.

>>Age of the candidates should be 18-27years.

>>The SC/ST are given age relaxation for 5years and OBC for 3years.

>>Should be citizen of India.

>>Should be physically fit.

You need to clear the selection procedure and get a good rank you get in the desired position of CID.
